The painting depicts the cosmic form of Lord Vishnu (MahaVishnu) standing in an ‘Ashtabhuja Rupa’ (Eight Handed form) in which he reveals his supremacy that he is the supreme personality of Godhead who has all the attributes of supernatural powers, infinite universes are placed in his Transcendental Divine Body. He has a light blue complexion that matches the colour of the sky. Here we can see his lavishness and royalty as he is well adorned with the bright yellow dhoti (Pitambara) along with the green cloth tied around the waist, a polka dot pink patka on his shoulders and an alluring flower garland with necklaces. A wide spread multicoloured Aureole behind the deity’s head looks gorgeous and exotic and it symbolises the power of the aura of God in his majestic form. As he is the establisher of Dharma, he wears the sacred cord (janeyu) on his left shoulder.
He is the enjoyer of all the fortunes as we can see him wearing stunning and shiny precious golden jewels all over along with the lustrous and sacred personal gold implements in all the hands which are conch, disc, gada, sword, chakra, lilakamal (lotus), bow and arrow. He stands on the spiritual surface of his own abode ‘Vaikuntham’ which has its own shine and does not require Sun and Moon as a source of light as it is the supreme transcendental planet beyond the realms of this Universe. The sky behind, resembles his calm and loving nature. This is the accurate depiction of lord’s personality, in this oil painting composition which would be an ideal decorative piece in the place of worship.
