Tulips in full bloom. Pale, blush pink colour, with a darker, pinker gradient towards the base of each petal. Zoom in on the same to appreciate the painter’s skilfull brushwork. In fact, the splotch of colour at the base of the petals is an identifying hallmark of the genus, which the painter has captured in its unique natural beauty.
Pink tulips predominate the paper canvas. A row of those dew-drenched blooms line the lower edge, filling up the foreground. From the very left amongst them, rise a couple of sprigs, such that the blooms - four in total - occupy, roughly, the centre of the surface area.
The background is thickly blurred, giving off the impression of great distance. It is a motley of colours blue and green, the visual perhaps having been intensified by the rainshowers so recent as moments ago.
