The nights at the Ghat of Banaras, are lightened as bright as the day, with the brilliance of the lamps that burn, empowered by the bhakti of Shiva's devotees, who populate the holy city, seeking to be in proximity of Kashinath. Samiaran Sarkar on a horizontally laid canvas recreates the enchanting scene of Banaras at night, bathed in the light of pure devotion, that spreads all over the dark sky, leaving no place for darkness in the sacred abode of Shiva. Rows of temples on the Ghat along with ancient structures, and boats present the familiar vision of Banaras, with faint images of people walking on the bank of the Ganga. With masterful brushstrokes, the waters of the divine river, glimmer under the light of the numerous lamps that flow in her waves, and fill the ambiance with a heavenliness beyond words.
