In the illustration he is shown seated on a lotus, placed on a pedestal. His hands are in the gesture of meditation (dhyana mudra). Amida's hair is beautifully arranged in a curly (Japanese) manner with prominent usanisa. There is a jewel on the head. He has half-closed eyes, elongated earlobes and urna between the eyebrows. His neck has three folds, one of the mahapurusa lakshanas. Amida is wearing printed robes in catechu complexion. There is a green halo behind the head and blue mandorla behind his body. The figure is very neatly painted.
