Big Mandala Pendant with Filigree from Nepal

$145

The earliest references of filigree can be seen in the Egyptian and Mesopotamian civilizations. Later it spread to south Asian countries in the late 16th century. It has revealed several similarities between Indian and Greek filigree as the techniques and patterns were alike. The great art of filigree is very ancient. It is usually made of gold and silver. The craftwork also constitutes small beads or twisted threads, or both of these in an artistic combination.
