This is a truly fascinating embroidery work well known as ‘Phulkari’ that comes from the land of Punjab, India. Phulkari means floral and thus, fabric work is done in such a way that simple floral designs and geometrical patterns are made using multicolored silken threads. The main characteristic of this embroidery is that alluring motifs are created on the back side of the base material using darn stitches.
