This decorative wall plate makes use of multiple metals and techniques. The flat, plain frame is made out sheet metal by alternately heating and hammering the metal. A design with a metal wire is placed on the inner border and then hammered into the sheet beneath. The artist has made an interesting narrative scene – the deer hunt. On the right is the prized animal, followed by a plant, symbolizing vegetation. A group of men and women with various weapons take part in the hunt. Men and women have identical features but are distinguishable by the skirts for women and a dhoti for men. Men have shoulder length hair and women tie them in a knot at the neck. The artist has displayed his skill by making tiny bow and arrow, spear, axe and other weapons.

What is very impressive about this plate is that each figure is cast separately and so are the weapons. Then they are judiciously placed and souldered to each other. The process of souldering is also done in a manner that it is not easily visible.
