The temple is carved from sturdy wood, with three bases placed one over the other. The lowest level of the Mandir is etched with delicate floral patterns and is situated over realistically carved legs of lions or Simha, turning this aasana into a Simhasana, or lion throne, which is considered a powerful seat for deities.

Soft colors are used in drawing the flowering vines on the Mandir as well as the symmetrical patterns on the base of each level, which mirrors the charm of ritualistic drawing created to mark the pure space for worship.

The backrest for the deity is graced by the presence of Sri Ganesha, the “Prathama Pujya” or first-worshipped Hindu god, whose energetic icon will ensure that you always remember the elephant-headed Lord first during your Puja so that your daily worship brings to you the most auspicious gains.

Pooja Temple – A Place For Devotion And Reverence Within A Home

Having a separate space for praying at home is a common practice followed in Hindu households for ages. It is a personal and sacred space that people customize as per their religious beliefs and traditions. Diversity Of Style, Size, And Materials

A house temple is available in different sizes, styles, and materials to match the needs of the users. While most house temples are made from wood, people can also opt for a puja unit crafted from marble, or brass. Most temples are created with a rectangular base having four pillars and a pyramid-shaped roof. The temple may be designed traditionally with only the back covered and the other three sides left open. It may also have only the front side left open and the other three sides covered. A temple for home may also have all four sides covered with a net-style door at the front.

Almost every temple for home, irrespective of its size and style, is designed with some storage space. This makes it easier for people to keep the articles required for worship safely in one place.
