Placed on a floral base the entirety of the kettle is covered in designs such as blossoming vines and flowers. Sophisticated work is visible on the thick strip wrapping the neck of the kettle, profusely covering it in a floral pattern. The faceted spout and handle are decorated with the dragon mouth, a mythical animal that represents enlightenment and clarity of thought. A befitting element on a ritual object. in the centre, within a floral frame is the image of an old  Buddhist mendicant, holding a rosary in his hands. Near his legs, we can see a swan, a symbol of purity and wisdom. A delicate chain attaches the removable lid to the body of the kettle. During the ritual, Serkyem from the kettle is continuously poured into a cup that is supposed to overflow, signifying the devotee’s wish for abundance. While pouring the tea, one chants uninterruptedly, evoking the deity one wishes to reach. The hot tea signifies the urgency in one's wish to achieve a boon or answer from the deity.
