It is said that the British army was scared of not the canons but the Bichua, a Maratha knife that could cut to the veins. Bichua translates to "scorpion" in the indigenous language. The form of this dagger resembles the tail of a scorpion. Unlike other daggers, the tip of a Bichua dagger is fairly thick around the center of the blade and raves to the tip. In combat, the Bichua dagger was used to pierce the enemy's chainmail armor.
The dagger comes with a stable lock handle that keeps the dagger pointed and focused. This Brass Kirtimukha Design Dagger made in Brass is a traditional Bichua. This piece is one of the finest examples of the Indian armory and is also a reminder of the intelligent warfare techniques that existed in the country.
