Gaan Saraswati Smt. Kishori Amonkar Born in 1931 in Mumbai Kishori Amonkar has music bubbling in her Veins. She is the distinguished daughter of the great Mogubai Kurdikar who is acknowledged as the doyenne of the jaipur Attrauli Gharana. Kishori Amonkar imbibed music from her mother and also applied her own mind to her Vidya. Years of assiduous practice and abundance of natural talent have enabled her to achieve complete control over the technique. Instead of mechanically repeating the instruction received by her she decided to make her music a medium of expression. This is how she came to be hailed as a brilliant improviser of melody and a creative genius who has given a new dimension to jaipur Attrauli Gayaki. Kishori Amonkar’s raga renderings are applauded for their remarkable balance between sparking virtuosity and contemplative artistry.

Bhimsen Joshi Born in Karnataka in 1922, Bhimsen yearned for music even as a boy and ran away from home in his quest of a Guru,however, he has destined to find his ultimate Guru Sawami Gandharva, the most distinguished disciple of Ustad Abdul Karim Khan, the fountainhead of Kirana Gharana. Although an exponent of the Kirana Gharana, Panditji has evolved a gayaki which is uniquely his own. While remaining true to the essential tenets of the Kirana tradition, he has assimilated certain aesthetic values of certain other contemporary streams to create an individuality of his own. His style is marked by comprehensive alaapchari, systematic ‘Raag Vistaar’, an uncanny sense of ‘layakari. Immaculate ‘taan’ patterns-all leading up to a well-structured climax. Needless to say, he is a recipient of honors conferred by the national and regional Sangeet Natak Academis and the title of ‘Bharat Ratna’
Sangeet Martand Pt. Jasraj Was born in Hisar, Haryana in an orthodox Brahmin family to Matiram, a classical singer. His family performer the Mewati gharana style. Jasraj was initiated into vocal music by his father. He also received training from his elder brother, Maniram, and later from Maharaja Jaywant Singhji Waghela. Pt Jasraj is a rare artist who is genuine custodian of classical music, a combination of the puritan and romantic, projecting traditional music as both chant and colorful. Pandit Jasraj was trained by his elder brother and Guru Late Mahamahopadhya Pandit Maniramji. Pandit Jasraj has Numerous records to his credit and number of music cassettes & CDs. He is specially known for Lord Krishna devotional singing’ Bhakti Pada’, Above all he has created a new concept of male female duet ‘Jasrangi Jugalbandi’ based on murchana bhed.
