Gourishankar is a powerful meditation technique given by Osho. It meant to be done in darkened surroundings, at night.
In the first stage the meditator breathes in a way intended to create more carbon dioxide in his/her body, giving the experience of a high as if on Gourishankar (Mt. Everest). The second stage is gazing softly at a candle flame or a flashing blue light. Both these stages prepare the meditator for the latihan-spontaneous, unstructured movements- in the third stage. The fourth is silence.
This hour long meditation works on the third eye, the ajna chakra, which resonates with clarity, intelligence and intuition. The element of the Third eye is light and the color associated with it is blue-violet, both woven in the design of Gourishankar.
