For this monsoon she comes out with another exiciting album on monsoon songs that is surely going to be loved by all.
Nanhi Nanhi Bundiya re (about the album) As the dark monsoon clouds come hanging in the summer sky, its time to celebrate the rains. It is also the time to celebrate the beauty of nature in its full glory. As clouds, raindrops, the rainbow and the green fields create magic. As we breathe the ‘saundhi khushbu’ of wet earth it is the time to welcome the rainy season with “kajari”, “jhoola” and “saavan”...genres of folk music of Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. They describe the longing of a maiden for her beloved, who may or may not be with her. These are traditionally sung in Benaras, Mirzapur, Lucknow, Allahabad and the Awadh regions of UP and Patna and the Bhojpur region of Bihar.
