Other mantras compiled with 'Sharanam Gachhami or 'Sharanam Gachhati' indicates that I have gone to the shelter of the Lord....... This mantra's origin is from 'Pushti Margiya Vallabhasampradaya', started by Acharya Vallabhacharya. In Bhagwat Gita Lord Krishna himself clarifies like this
