Abhijit Pohankar, India’s ‘only’ classical keyboard player on the concert circuit made a mark with the pathbreaking ‘Piya Bavari’- an album that really went places on the charts. Despite his success with fusion and world music, Abhijit’s roots lie in Classical music. Having trained under Pandit Shivkumar Sharma, his sound on the keyboard is akin to a mixture of the Santoor and Piano-a very distinct and unique sound to experience!
