Marble has always been associated with the Taj though it was fetched from the mines of Makrana in Rajasthan. Since then, a relationship developed between the Mughals and Rajasthan. This artwork speaks of that fusion today. Crafted in marble, it displays the Mughal emperors with their ultimate achievement, the Taj.

In the circular plate is the star of David, a prominent feature at every Islamic gateway. This architectural feature helps to divide equal space of prominence for every thing. In the large central space stands the Taj. The Taj truly is a poem. It is not only a pure architectural type, but also a creation which satisfies the imagination because its chief and only characteristic is beauty. It is an octagonal building or rather a square with the corners truncated and each side precisely similar. It stands upon a lofty platform with a minaret at each corner. An oriental dome, swelling out boldly from the base and tapering at the top into a crescent tipped spire, crowns the edifice, with four similar, though much smaller domes at the corners. Waterways divide the charbhagh around the monument.

Around the star are the portraits of the major emperors and empresses of the Mughal era, resplendent in their beauty and dignity, grace and splendour.
