On a terrace, against a thick blue and pink bolster, Ganesha is seated with his shakti. With his legs folded in, he sits on a cushion of grand lotus petals arranged on a floral carpet. His two hands occupy a 'kamanadalu,' a vase of ablutions and 'ankusha,' the elephant goad. His normal two hands are devoted to the goddess, one hand caressing her and the other encircling her shoulder, with the trunk following the latter. He wears a yellow colored dhoti and green scarf, and numerous jewels on his entire body. The seven pointed crown is sumptuous, studded with pearls and precious stones. His broken tusk stands prominently. The eyes are represented as small and oval while his third eye is set obliquely in the forehead.
The goddess is extremnely elegant. Her head jewelry, nose ring and earrings frame her soft face. She is draped in a slate grey skirt and a bright orange odhini covers her head. She is adorned with ornaments. Holding a dish of modakas in one hand, she feeds a small one to the god lovingly with her henna dyed hand.
In the foreground is the mouse, Ganesha's vahana, moving catiously towards a tray of eatables and drinks. The background has varied kinds of dense vegetation. The bright blue sky has white clouds moving in symmetry. The picture makes one relate easily with the deity who has descended from the heavenly skies in the lap of earthly nature.
