The symbol AUM surrounds the image of three Ganesha standing in a row. They are carrying the ankush (the elephant goad) in one hand and modaks (sweet meat) in the other. There is a mouse close to each Ganesha. The first Ganesha in the row is yellow in colour. This colour is attributed to Nrtya Ganapati. The second is Ucchista Ganapati bearing black colour. The Ganesha on the extreme right is bluish grey in colour, which is attributed to Dvimukha Ganapati. The figures of Ganesha are basically similar. To make them look different from each other, jewellery has been painted differently in various colours. The crowns are made in different shapes. To show more variation, attributes change hands in each figure. The artist, Vidyadevi, who has signed her name inconspicuously in a corner, tries to explain colour symbolism in one line under each Ganesha.
This painting has a touch of modern art, blending symbolism, ambiguity and colour, and has a Tantrika insight.
