Book Description
About the Book

We are increasingly convinced about the need to impart moral and spiritual education to the present generation, when we see them wasting time in watching TV for hours together or idolizing film stars instead of Saints. Moral and spiritual education makes children virtuous and courteous. In the way Jijamata moulded Shivaji, let us mould our children too ! To do that-

Imprint sanskars of Dharma and moral values on children: Giving names such as ‘Chaitanya’, ‘Bhakti’ (which are spiritual in nature) to children; cultivating in them the habit of paying obeisance to elders in the house every day; celebrating a birthday by performing Aukshan and not by cutting a cake etc.

Cultivate sanskars of patriotism in children ! : Provide the children with biographies of national leaders and valiant deeds of revolutionaries to read; provide them with patriotic songs to listen to etc.

Cultivate sanskars of Dharmacharan and chanting God’s Name I : Cultivate habits of regular worship) and recitation of stotras (Hymns); wearing sattvik attire such as kurta-pyjama, teach them Achardharma of applying gandha etc.; ask them to chant the Name of the Kuladevata (Family Deity) for at least 15 minutes every day etc.
