He is an engineer by profession was for many years a student of Theosophy, seriously trying to apply in life the teachings he understood. He served the Theosophical Society in various Capacities, at the international headquarters at Adyar and elsewhere. He is the author of another work on the spiritual life; Teachings on Discipleshipa outlined in the Mahatma Letters.
The author notes that although the elements included in Yama and Niyama have been mentioned specifically and must be practiced separately, we should not forgot the unity underlying human nature which has different facets but is essentially one.
