India was invaded many times, though the invaders from Greek, Egypt, Rome etc. all came to India but British were different from these as they tried to make Indian inferior, so they can obey them. For this reason British tried to make their every effort. They distorted historical facts of India's glorious pasts.
World heritage sites have their own importance as they are meant for every mankind in world. The number of enlisted sites is a symbol of its historical richness. Rich and diversified background of any country reflects the maturity of civilization. Diversified World Heritage Sites in India include both flora and fauna along with its various historical and cultural sites of global importance.
There are total 27 World Heritage Sites in India. Out of these 22 are the historical sites and 5 are natural sites. UNESCO has declared 878 world heritage sites in the world till 28 February 2009 among which 679 are cultural 174 are natural and 25 are considered to be mixes category.
