The Hindu religion is perpetual, eternal and true. Hindu culture is the culture of validities, methods, customs and heritages. The history of our customs and culture-heritages are as old as the history of mankind. It is not that being old these are untrue or are only just the flights of thoughts, behind the existence of it are not only deep secrets but scientific validations also.
Today's man without understanding and knowing turns them down saying this is just blank vanity. He says that these blank vanities have no power in them. These old cultures, validities, methods and customs should pass away with the passed time. These do not commensurate to the fast life of today. These have no place in the development-oriented life of today. These are nothing more then hurdles on the way of development.
This is not true. Has our country not made any development in these past so many years along with these validities, methods and customs? Our country is at the top of all round height of development along with its customs, validities and heritages. May it be the fields of Chemical, Physical, Biological and Astronomical sciences, whole world is accepting the might of our Doctors and Scientists. Do these Doctors and Scientist not accept these validities, methods, customs and heritages? Are they making progress by not accepting them? This not true, they accept them with their heart. They have full faith in them, and why should not they accept them because these validities, customs, methods and heritages are the root of our culture? And our nation is easily facing so many other problems due to these strong roots. How can one remain standing, how can one remain alive and how can one make progress by remaining away from its roots?
It is not bad to make development, and to be curious is also not bad. Our ancestors who laid the foundation of these customs, methods, validities and heritages were also very much curious and development-oriented. They examined the validity, custom, method and heritage on the criterion of "Dhram', 'Arth', 'Kaam' and 'Moksha' and after finding them relevant accepted them on the curiosity of WHY?
Ordinarily the word why is related to all the aspects of human life. May it be financial, customary or social, or even may it be related to the family life. This word WHY has a deep relation with life of the man, because WHY is a natural, mental phenomenon, WHY is the subject of brain and it is the indicator of mental superiority. Man is curious by nature, he dose not easily accept anything or idea. The thing which he has not heard or seen earlier that thing starts a curiosity in his mind to understand and know that thing. This WHY is the present form of that curiosity which arose in his mind.
When a mother says to her little child, not to go bear footed, then that little child do not easily accept the word of his mother, immediately a curiosity arises in his mind and he, turning to his mother asks, why? Mother why should I not walk bear footed? Mother says that the pebbles will prick into your foot. Then only he wears his slippers.
