Thousands of years ago, in villages of Maharashtra, lived the Warli Tribes. These tribal people used to paint the walls of their mud houses with pictures of their daily lives, animals, birds, harvest, wedding etc. They did not paint Gods and Goddesses. They used only one colour for painting - white, which was made out of rice flour. The motifs were basic geometric figures - triangles, circles, dots, dashes and stick like hands and legs. Follow instructions inside the kits and draw your family/ friends in Warli Art form and create a personalised decoration to gift or to hang in your room. Potli collaborates with various artisans and craft communities across India, to create simple and interactive educational kits for children to bring about awareness of Indian Cultural Heritage. This product not only helps to keep the Traditional Art form alive but also supports the artisans for their livelihood. A Fair Trade Product.
