When I read the original book in Hindi, 'Andhera- Ujala' written by esteemed Dr. vishnu Pankaj, I fell in love with the book. I was pleasantly surprised that a man could be sensitive enough to feel and flow with the feelings of a woman so deeply. Here I'd like to take the opportuity to falicitate Dr. Vishnu Pankaj for being a sensitive human being, a being of depth and vision.
The protagonist of the novel speaks of self-love and talked of the much needed awareness in women today. Translating this book was like a gift to myself and a small contribution from my side to our society which aims to stir the hearts of men and women shaking them from their deep slumber, to live life more meaningfully and experience the joy of a more loving, compassionate and balanced society. Truly said- 'The tragedy in life is not death, but what we let die inside us while we live!'
