Meditation camps were organized in Delhi and during that period, we used to stay at the bungalow of Shri D. K. Puri sahib. The meditation classes were organized in the morning and the evening, but 'sadhakas' used to clear their doubts collectively during day time and asked questions which were recorded. Later on, Kumar sahib expressed a desire to get these clarifications published in the form of a book.
In this work, the greatest co-operation was extended by Kumar sahib, his wife Uma Puri, their daughter Shagun Puri and two teachers as well as 'sadhikas' Ms. Kanchan Kapoor and Ms. Rajani Arora. These people transcribed the discourses contained in the tapes, and arranged them according to subjects, and shaped them in the form of a book. While speaking and writing, discrepancies in the language do creep in and these appear in this book also. Secondly, I have no command over either of the languages and, therefore, language mistakes are bound to appear. First, these people thought of improving upon the language of this book, but later they decided to present it in it's original form.
His whole attention is focused on the mental transformation of human beings. Mental transformation is the foremost requirement today, because the nature and interest of the mind have been confined to the matter only and this has led to emergence of negative feelings and reduction of creative feelings. In fact, it's only creative feelings which form the basis of progress of man and society; and negative feelings have no relationship with progress at all. It is only meditation which eliminates negative feelings and lets the creative feelings prevail and this is experienced during meditation. It lays the foundation of mental transformation in man's life.
