The Advisory and Editorial Boards have done a good hard work. The response of articles for these volumes continued to flow even when the manuscript was in the press. I appreciate this kind of love and affection for Shri Chaturvediji. The publishers, Agam Kala Prakashan have spared no efforts to bring out the volumes. I highly commend their efforts and congratulate them. I also express admiration for the persons who have put in their mite to make this project a success.
In April 2002, we were discussing honouring people who have contributed to the society and made significant impact on the development and life around them. In this process, we felt the society will get enriched and more informed. One of the persons whose name came up for so honouring was of Hon'ble Shri Triloki Nath Chaturvedi The idea to honour and felicitate him was generated.
We approached friends and admirers of Shri Chaturvediji with the idea of bringing out a Felicitation volume around January 2003, when Shri Chaturvediji would attain the age of 75 years. All agreed and desired that the idea be given a shape. We approached Hon'ble Shri Jagmohan Ji, with the request to accept the Chairmanship of the committee and steer our efforts. He very kindly and readily accepted our request. The Felicitation Committee worked under his guidance, impact of which is visible throughout the Felicitation volume. The response from contributors has been overwhelming. Eminent personalities, dignitaries and people in high places, all responded with love and spontaneity which is rarely seen. Their blessings, greetings, articles, reminiscences, all form part of the publication.
Shri T.N. Chaturvedi is a versatile person. He has been a bright student, a successful administrator, an eminent educationist and academician, a distinguished parliamentarian and above all a humanist who has always endeavoured for the betterment of humankind. The articles in the Felicitation volumes bring out these aspects eloquently and need not be elaborated here. Keeping in view the wide ranging interests of Shri Chaturvediji, we requested the authors, scholars, his friends and admirers to contribute their piece of writing according to their own choice rather than feel circumscribed by the limits that we may impose. Consequently, we have received articles covering diverse fields and almost all aspects of life and public administration. All these have a running thread of the unity of elements of human growth. The articles reflect on good governance, reform and performance.
