About the Author Dr. A. Ramya completed her BAMS from Vaidyaratnam PS Varier Ayurveda College; Kottakkaland had her specialisation MD in Pancakarma from Govt. Ayurveda College, Thiruvananthapuram in 2012. She started her academic career as a Tutor, Dept. of Kayacikitsa, MVR Ayurveda Medical College, Parassinikkadavu (2008) and later joined Amrta School of Ayurveda, Amrta Viswavidyapeedham Deemed University as a Tutor, Dept. of Racana Shaareeram (2008). After her post-graduation, she joined Dept. of Pancakarma, MVR Ayurveda Medical College, Parassinikkadavu as an Assistant Professor (2012). Currently, she works as Associate Professor and Head of Dept. of Pancakarma at Ashtamgam Ayurveda Cikitsaalayam & Vidyapeedham, Kootanad.

Her dissertation was regarding the comparative evaluation of Shadhanaanga snehapaanam with Asamskrta Ghrtam and Guggulutiktakam Ghrtam in Rheumatoid Arthritis. She loves to learn, practice and teach Pancakarma in the most scientific way. She is currently working on the development of strategies for the implementation of Pancakarma Therapy in the most precise manner. She is a visiting consultant on Panchakarma in Dr. L.Mahadevan's Foundation and she is a student of Dr. L. Mahadevan.
