Human birth is very precious. Even Devas want it after the expiry of their time in the Heaven. Earth is the work place.Whatever we do here, it is rewarded according to its merit. Whatever we sow, so shall we reap. The aim is one-salvation from death and birth. The ways are many and different. Some are long and some are short. Some are confusing and we do not reach the destination. Life is short and the journey is difficult. We need a true guide. This book is the guide. It is gift of our scriptures. It elaborates our knowledge and reveals the way to salvation.

Author of this book is an Engineer-in-chief (Retd.) He is Fellow of the Institution of Engineers (INDIA) also. He has already to his credit the books-Hindi translation of Srimad Bhagavad Gita, Hindi Translation of Srimad Bhagvad Puran in two volumes, Moksh Gyan (Hindi) and Saint (a journey to salvation) in English. These are besides his technical publications.

The first pair of man and woman on this Earth was King Swainbhuv and his wife Shat Rupa. They had two sons-Priyavarat and Uttanpad and three daughters-Akuti, Devhuti and Prasuti.

Akuti was married with Prajapati Ruchi, Devhuti was married with great seer Kardam and Prasuti was married with Prajapati Daksh. And thus the Generation progressed.

Prajapati Daksh ordered his sons-Haraishavs to marry and further expand the generation. They went to pilgrimage Narayan Sar in the West at the meeting place of River Sindhu with the sea. There they wanted to meditate for some time before obeying the orders of their father.

At this place, once Dev Rishi Narad happened to be there. He said to Haraishavs:

Though you are sons of Prajapati Daksh but you are not very wise. Please listen to me;

There is a country where only one man lives. There is a hole which does not have any exit. There is a lady who can take any form. The person is her husband. There is a river which flows on both sides. There is a house which has been made out of twenty five elements. There is a Swan () who has a mysterious story. There is a strong wheel which is rotating of its own. Unless you understand the orders of your father clearly and know about the things mentioned here, how can you expand the generation?

The Haraishavs (Brothers) gave a thought to this. They realized that Dev Rishi Narad was right. This human body (the house) is made up of twenty five elements. The soul living in it is practically bound with it. Parmatma is Swan (), a friend and adviser of this soul. He is the sustainer of all and Himself independent. Unless we have known Him, His creation and the system, what is the prupose of life.

As after entering in an endless hole, you can not come back, so is the world. The intelect is the lady in this body. It can be misleading or it can be helpful. So unless you have made efforts to know the Supreme Self, what is the purpose of life.
