Whether you’re looking for inspiration, wisdom, encouragement or some light-hearted moments, let the songs of these inspiring quotes and short stories dance their ways into your heart. Let the sincerity of these simple inspirational messages speak to your soul.
It is not possible to compile a selection of such inspiring thoughts alone, covering many important areas of fulfilment and self-development. You always need the backing and support of others. Some of the thoughts presented are ours, many of the ideas are from the people who have stood by and worked for the values they believed in and which brought them immense joy and happiness in their own lives. Some were famous names but others were ordinary people, perhaps not even noticed and forgotten for long.
We have been studying various hooks, listening to various leaders, attending programmes and have been working on writing books on quotations on various subjects. In the process, we treasured thousands of sayings and quotations, improved few of them, mixed them and changed them to serve the purpose for which we are working and have also written some quotes of our own. We have tried to indicate in the acknowledgement page, names of the persons whose quote we have reproduced, wherever we could remember. Any amendment/addition in this regard is most welcome from the learned readers.
A good thought can come from anybody, from a great man, leader or from a common man. Similar type of thoughts may also come from different people with different presentations. But the idea is to see that these quotes help the public at large when read. Paintings, included in this book, have been created by our professional artists keeping in view themes of individual quotes.
This book has to be seen as a muli-dimensional inlet of knowledge. The pores of the mind like those of the body must be left open, for them to get absorbed and to allow them to make lasting impressions.
Inspiring ourselves with good thoughts can lead us to change our habits, attitude and behaviour which in turn can help us change our lives. We can thus, endeavour to he the master of our own destiny.
Our sincere thanks are due to Alfred Tennyson, Anon, Barbara G. Berger, Benjamin Franklin, Dhirubhai Ambani, George Bernard Shaw, Geoffrey Moss, George Smith Patton, Helen Keller, Lao Tzu, Melodic Beattie, Mahatma Gandhi, Mother Teresa, Philip B. Crosby, Washington Irving, who have given such invaluable thoughts to this world.
We prostrate before our parents Smt Kanchan Devi and Shri Bhairav Lal Kogata, and Smt Kamla Devi Nuwal and the late Prof K.M. Nuwal for their benign blessings that have guided us throughout and made us reach the stage where we find ourselves today.
With the expectation of blessings and constructive feedback from all of you.
