Pope-Ayyar's translation, Albert Schweitzer came to know of the Tirumurai's excellence. As G.U.Pope was rooted in his evangelical faith, he despite his sincerity could not adequately approach the lore of Tiruvaachakam a sensibility, native to Tamil. The emotion in the lore partly eluded his inquest. With due regard and gratitude for the Pope's work, Tiruvaachakamani K.M.Balasubramaniyam took efforts to draw a full length exegesis to Tiruvaachakam.
As K.M.B. had an indepth feel for English, as scholars and eminent readers have pointed out, it was easy for him to provide a translation following the prints of G.U.Pope. Yet with a complete tenor and tone, little missing the canonical in-lay, K.M.B's Siva Bhakthi, beyond words urged him on and brought his translation to fulfillment.
