Alexey Perchukov
Born in Russia in 1972, Alexey Perchukov is a world traveller and entrepreneur who has visited every country recognized by the United Nations. Since 2012, Alexey has immersed himself in Vedic culture (Shaivism). He regularly makes pilgrimages across India to Shiva's Jyotirlingams, Gangotri and Yamunotri Yatra (Char Dham), Panch Kedar, Amarnath Yatra, and Navagraha Yatra, and other holy places. Since 2007, he has performed more than 300 Koras around Kailash.

This book is the result of nearly 17 years of my research on Tibet. Each visit has been more than a work trip for me; each time, I got closer and closer to one of the most mysterious and beautiful places on Earth and absorbed more of its life-giving energy.
As a professional traveller, I have travelled extensively, visiting the most remote corners of our planet. The invaluable experience gained from these travels and expeditions allowed me to develop unique routes to Places of Power on Earth, and Tibet is one of these places.
My goal is always to make the journey as comfortable, spiritually beneficial, and enriching as possible for myself and people I lead. Achieving this requires deep knowledge of the region and the mindset of its people.
My trips to Tibet started with small groups and poorly organized routes, often put together by other travel companies. Gradually, I began planning routes myself to take into account not only the trip's duration but also the habits and lifestyles of tourists, as well as the need for gradual altitude adaptation.
With each visit, I note new hotels, roads, and restaurants, learning more about them to use their services for future trips. Choosing a reliable tour operator, trustworthy guides, and drivers is crucial for a comfortable journey through Tibet to avoid unpleasant surprises. This is why I regularly meet with representatives from many Tibetan travel agencies, aiming to select the most reliable companies with flexible conditions.
Every year, I see tourists who suffer from altitude sickness, poor living conditions, and subpar service in Tibet. All these issues could have been avoided if they had the necessary information about Tibet before hand. It's what inspired me to write a guide for first-time travellers to Tibet.
