The mystery of the birth, life and death of the human is perhaps the most mind-boggling challenge in the realm of human study.
Even after applying all the intellectual capacity that the most intellectual human ever had and has, questions still remain whose answers seem to be only subjective and not objective. It is still more intriguing how, even amidst this unending search for a destination and treasure which is still unclear to the majority, many great souls, Gurus, seem to have discovered it and revel in a state of bliss guiding others in their own unique way.
It is wise to remind ourselves that the Guru is the Power of creation, preservation and dissolution. The Vedas and all the Scriptures are the Divine Utterances of the Guru. Mahaswamiji lassoes the heart and mind of the seeker with the language and path that the seeker is familiar with - scientific or esoteric, Eastern or Western, in prose or verse.
Mahaswamiji illumines the intellect imperceptibly; verses gush forth from Mahaswamiji's Divine Lips from Srimad Bhagawad Gila, the Bible, the Puranas, Modern History, Tulsi R5m5yaria, Tirukkural, Auvaiyar, Sarvajlia and other Scriptures.
The core of Mahaswamiji's Divine Discourses leads the life of the listener through a steady upward movement towards the great goal of realising oneself, a goal that makes life worth living, a goal that enables one to transcend purposelessness and realise Purposefulness, a goal that makes life a very clear means to the accomplishment of the 'Sublime end'.
There is in every Divine Discourse a beautiful synthesis of ancient teachings and contemporary enquiry. Mahaswamiji emphasises again and again that to blossom into a spiritually ripe being, attending Satsang regularly is the only way.
'Practise, practise, practise' - is Mahaswamiji's clarion call.
