Thus Flows the Ganges is like a garland made of varieties of flowers which depicts the Indian culture and civilization for expressing the idea of unity in diversity. The book contains some learned articles which flowed through various conferences held in Jadavpur University, Asiatic Society in Kolkata, Rajasthan University, Jaipur, Gujarat University, Ahmedabad, Gurukul University, Hardwar and in The All India Philosophical Congress held in Visvabharati-Santinketan and in the Seminar of World Congress of Religion held in Ramakrishna Mission Institute of Culture, Kolkata. Almost all the papers are based on Indian thought as the River Ganges flows from immemorial time accumulating waters of the river and rivulets of various thoughts and culture especially of the Nineteenth Century Bengal.
