Prof. (Dr.) Jasvinder Kaur is a renowned person in the field of Kriyasharira. She started her career as Lecturer in Saint Sahara Ayurvedic Medical College, Bathinda, Punjab, India and step-by-step gained a long and vast experience of teaching Kriyasharira serving in various institutions. She has been working as Professor of Excellence and Head, Department of Kriyasharira in Ishan Ayurvedic Medical College and Research Centre, Greater Noida, U.P. She has been teaching Physiology for about 16 years. She joined A&U Tibbia College, Delhi in 1996 as an undergraduate and went on to do post-graduation in the same college.

She has published a number of papers in national and international journals of repute. She has received a number of awards including the most prestigious Dhanwantari Award 2020. She is very popular among the students due to her dedication and keen interest to teach students. She has also been an external examiner in various Ayurvedic institutions.

This Textbook of Kriya Sharir exclusively covers all the contents related to ancient and modern con- cepts of Physiology as per NCISM syllabus of BAMS. The previous edition was a concise version of Kriya Sharir entitled 'Dosha Dhatu Mal Vigyan' which was published in the year 2017. We are humbled by the popularity and success of that book. It gave an impetus to bring about a more detailed and extensively exhaustive content on the said subject.

The latest publication takes its inspiration of writing the content of Kriya Sharir along with modern physiology as per NCISM syllabus, comprehensively within the same book.
