We are happy to present the standard Text book on Swasthavritta Evam Yoga, which will be useful for the students of second Professional BAMS. and post graduate students of Swasthavritta and Yoga as well as to enthusiastic readers of Ayurveda. We have taken great care that all the topics mentioned as per the new syllabus of National Commission for Indian System of Medicine, New Delhi (NCISM) have been covered in this book. There are two papers of 100 marks each, Paper 1 Principles of Swasthavritta, Yoga and Naturopathy and Paper 2-Public health.

In Paper 1-Principles of Swasthavritta, Yoga and Naturopathy. We have described personal hygiene which covers mainly Ayurveda aspect prevention of disease dealing with Dinacharya, Ratricharya, Rutucharya, Ahara (diet), Nidra, Brahmacharya, Rasayana for Swastha, Yoga, Naturopathy etc. Proper reference and Shlokas have been given for the benefits of students while explaining all concepts of Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy.

In paper 2-Public health explains about all aspects of preventive measures form communicable diseases and non-communicable diseases, food borne diseases, pollution of water, air, land, sound etc. Disposal of solid waste, Excreta Disposal methods, Environmental health, Disaster management, Occupational Health, School health services, Primary health care, Mother and Child health care, Family welfare programme, Preventive Geriatrics, World Health Organization and International health, Vital Statistics, Health Administration Agencies, National health programmes and National Health Policy.

This is the text book on this subject written in English language and hence will be useful to all students.
