In August 2012, Central Council of Indian Medicine, New Delhi revised and reorganized syllabus of Sharira Kriya Viynan. Revised syllabus of Sharira Kriya Vijnan is a perfect blend of Ayurvedic knowledge supplemented with concept of modern physiology. The entire book has been rewritten, simplified and conve- niently divided into part A and B and it encompasses all the syllabus recommended by the Central Council of Indian Medicine, New Delhi. As Kriya Sharir is the fundamental subject, Part A of this book elaborates all the basic concepts like Triguna, Pancha- mahabhuta, Tridosha, Agni, Pachana etc. Concepts of Tridosha and Mahabhuta are explained with suitable diagrams, tables and flow charts. We have taken great care to include all the necessary references from all Ayurvedic classical compendia such as Charaka Samhita, Sushruta Samhita etc. Interpretations of the Ayurvedic references are done in simple but scientific language.
