I feel gratified that I have again been given an opportunity for revising and further enlarging the book "Teletherapy".

A few more valuable articles on the theory and practice of this therapics and allied written by some experienced practi- tioners on the basis of their long experience have been added in this Third Edition. I must thank them all for their valued contributions.

I am deeply grieved that Shri Kanailal Mukhopadhyay of Firma KLM Private Limited who had been so very enthusiastic in propagating the Science of Teletherapy is no more among us to see the publication of this Third Edition. But I. must thank Shri Rathin Mukherjee, his son and Managing Director of Firma KLM Private Ltd. for showing the same zeal and enthusiasm in bringing out this revised and enlarged edition quickly.

I am glad that more and more, persons throughout the world are taking keen interest in this new science of healing. It would give me highest satisfaction if more and more persons are benefitted from this book.

Hundreds of thousands of lives are lost annually from diseases, which could have been prevented. Millions, because of some preventable ailment which partially or totally incapacitates them, are today living only a small part of their lives. Millions of Dollars yearly are squandered needlessly on in- effective treatments-much of which might have been saved by a right knowledge of the laws of health and hygiene.

Every among the comfortable situated or even well-to-do, robust, vigorous health is rarest of possessions. The most rugged looking on being closely and sympathetically catechised will admit to "touch of rheumatism"; a chronic stomach, liver, kidney trouble, nervousness, headaches, neuralgia, constipation or something that tends to prevent his attaining completest physical power and mental efficiency. And the weaker sex more than justify their descriptive adjective. For 80% of those not directly under a Physician's care, or taking some medicine or form of treatment for something should be.

Conditions are improving however. There is a dawn of hope for Humanity. For good health is being made a fetish. It is becoming a gospel-a gospel preached and spoken of, wherever the medium of communication is exercised.

Humanity is awakening to the fact, that sickness, in a large percentage of cases, is an error of body and mind- ignorance of the rightful use of our environment.

Foremost among those engaged in illuminating the public away from paths of ignorance, and the disastrous consequences of this ignorance, is the Medical Fraternity. The noblest and the most self-sacrificing profession on earth is the one most industriously engaged in sowing the branch between itself, and the tree of financial gain. The Doctor is the philanthropist most impressively employed in killing the geese that lay the golden eggs with one hand, while he cuts his pocket-book's jugular vein with the other. For he catches and segregates- constructing prisons for them, if necessary all cases or even suspected cases of contagious diseases-diseases which, if per- mitted to spread broadcast, would net him a horde of Ducats.
