About the Book
Swami Vivekananda is widely known as the harbinger of Indian Renaissance. He infused new energy and vigor among the people of India when they were in deepest state of physiological devastation. He insisted that serving poor people is like serving god. He raised awareness on various social problems in order to give amicable solutions to eradicate them from the Indian society. Due to his distinctive progressive views and thoughts on Indian society, he was labeled as 'Socialist Sage' across the globe. Through his famous Chicago address in 1883, he was able to give a new vision about India to the world and talk about establishment of global peace and harmony.

He visited numerous countries before his soul departed for heavenly abode. He showcased Hinduism in a prospective light and his exclusive arguments encouraged accepting Hinduism as the mother of all religions across the world. Swami Ji argued that various religions are different routes to reach ultimate religion of serving humanity which in turn will promote global peace. He will always be remembered for his contributors towards the promotion of peace and harmony in the world.

Preface
Swami Vivekananda has been considered as stalwart of Indian spirituality across the World. He is known for high distinctiveness and ardent knowledge. He had remarkable life which echoed World after Shankaracharya. His ideology and tremendous efforts left a deep impact on the lives of people till he abode. His philosophy along with his ardent efforts provided solace to the Indian society in colonial era, when morality of the society was at its bare minimum. He established a society which was at shambles for variety of reasons and once he left in the outset of twentieth century, it was quite changed and charged society. Reflections of this prevailing situation are very much vindicated from his thoughts. He in the best possible way addressed the situation and gave a ray of hope to the endless suffering of the people to get rid of the endless agony. He advocated the realms of Indian spirituality to the Western World, which has established its hegemony over the globe. Vivekananda taught spirituality to this hostile civilization and gained utmost respect which is very rare. His soul departed 43 years before independence but paved the way for independence. His thoughts provoked millions of youth to fight for independence and he emerged as the philosophical custodian of freedom and liberty from the age long colonial empire.

The Hindu Monk

The Western Indologists of European and US-universities, who had very fragile impression of India and called Indians as 'savage" and uncivilized' were humbled in debates by this young monk. As rightly said by an American scholar John Henry Wright (1852- 1908) "Swami was more learned than all the learned American Professors put together. His philosophy is relevant even in present times and I am sure it will remain so in the coming time also."
