Swami Vivekananda was the first religious leader in India to speak and work for masses formulate a definite philosophy of service and organize at large scale social service. His concentration was on more and more on issues like poverty, illiteracy masses, freedom from boundageemanicipation of women, religious tolerance, uplift of the unprivileged classes and castes.
Youth is that wonderful time in life when energy is limitless human creativity is at its best and never say die' spirit is at its peak. He also said that we should convert our thoughts in our actions. Youth of India should be more engertic and aware for social development. For this he said" Arise Awake and Stop not till the goal is reached". He thought his countrymen to leave the motherland to love her poor, ignorant opprosed children, to forget self and dedicate life their uplift and together courage to break the chains of salvation.
Dr. Balbir Singh Jamwal, belongs to Himachal Pradesh and has been working as Principal in BKM College of Education, Balachaur, District S.B.S. Nagar (Nawanshahr) Punjab 144521, India for about 17 years. He has 24 years' experience of teaching in education colleges. He has guided and has been guiding a number of M.Ed., M.Phil and Ph.D. students in the field of education. He is State and National awardees. He has participated at national and international levels in various seminars, conferences and workshops and presented papers in most of them. He has worked as a resource person in most of such seminars, workshops and conferences. He has published a number of research papers in reputed magazines and journals. He is a visiting member of NCTE inspection and member of inspection, selection committees, co-coordinator, Member and controller of various activities and bodies of Panjab University, Chandigarh and others. He did his B.A, B.Ed., M.A (Economics), M.A. (History), M.Ed., M.Phil. (History), PGDHE (IGNOU), Ph.D. in History and Ph.D. in education.
Swami Vivekananda was a social reformist and very inspiring personality. He was the living embodiment of sacrifice and dedicated his life to the welfare of the downtrodden and impoverished. He was the pride of Indian. He was always says that God dwells inside every heart. He triggered a new spiritual wave with his missionary, devotion, learning a ligancy of spiritul fulfillment devotion and social service. Swami Vivekananda desired for a modern society where all people would be treated equally. Subhash Chander Bose called him" the maker of India".
Swami Vivekananda considered men and women as two wings of a bird and it is not possible for bird to fly on only one wing.so according to him, there is no chance for the welfare of world unless the condition of women is improved. Swami Vivekananda, 'thoughts on religion were unique. He gave India, its secularist ideas which new form an integral part of contribution of India. He said "the ideal women in India is mother, the mother is first, and the mother is last. The word women calls up to the mind of the Hindu, motherhood and God is called mother." swami vivekananda that removing poverty not only a social activity, but also a religious exercise.

It gives me immense pleasure to note that author has made great efforts for writing about Swami Vivekananda Deeds and Dreams. Swami Vivekananda was a great source of inspiration for youths not only India but the whole world. Author has focused specially on message to youths, Women, Religious, Spiritual education and life Sketch of Swami Vivekananda. I once again congratulate Dr. Balbir Singh Jamwal for writing the book and hope that he will continue writing in future another book about great personalities like Swami Vivekananda which would inspire readers in future.
