Atul is a sensitive and intelligent modern-age 12-year-old. The only child of his parents, he finds the life in Delhi, where he lives, rather dull and boring. He longs to have some adventure in his life like the kind his cousins have. During the summer holidays he gets a chance to stay with his cousins in Peshwatope (an imaginary town), a small town near Jhansi. As he gets to know the town, he begins to like it, and slowly discovers that the town's history is entwined with his own past.
On reaching there, he finds himself confronting strange dreams taking him back to the time of the great rebellion of 1857. As the sequence of events unfolds before him, he finds his ultimate adventure in peshwatope.
Having been to different countries in the last decade because of her husband's job, Seema Gupta is now settled in Delhi. A homemaker through and through, she loves looking after her home and family which includes her husband, An IT Professional, and "two wonderful school going children who help her see life through their eyes and inspire her to write about it."
