Mr Muhammad Riaz obtained MA in Political Science in 1968 and MA in English Language and Literature in 1972 from University of the Punjab. He remained Chief of the British Council Library Lahore forten years, Librarian at King Abdul Aziz University, Saudi Arabia for two years, Chief Librarian of the Punjab Public Library Lahore for two years and Chief Librarian of the International Islamic University, Islamabad for 14 years and Librarian at Faculty of Management Sciences for 4 years. Mr Muhammad Riaz has also authored six books in the area of Information Management for academic purpose.
Mr Muhammad Riaz is initiated in Abbasi Qadiri Order (Gujranwala) which is a centre of the spiritual heirs of Hazrat Mian Mir Sahib Bala Pir of Lahore.
