About The Book

This book describes the lives and teachings of eight saints hailing from all over India viz. Saint Chokha Mela, Saint Narayana Guru, Saint Ramanuja, Saint Nandanaar, saint Ravidas, Saint Ramalinga Swamigal, Saint Thiruppanalvar and Saint Kabir. Besides being saints they contributed through their words and deeds to reforms like eradication of untouchability and superstitious beliefs. They taught that everybody is equal in the eyes of God and to establish this principle they had undergone all kinds of suffering.

About the Author

The author Shri A. Padmanaban is a retired Chief Secretary, Government of Tamilnadu, and presently and presently Governor of Mizoram. A prominent poet in English, he has been the Vice-President, World Academy of Arts and Culture USA, and World Congress of Poets. He is also the Indian Editor of Poet International.
