Astrology subject is prevalent all over the world, in different forms, from immemorial times. With present socio-economic globalization the subject of astrology is also gaining its popularity.

Vedic astrology originated from Vedas in Indian sub-continent. Astrology deals with planctary influence on human body and mind. Added to that planetary influence the internal genetic influence also manipulates the functioning of human body and mind. Thus the human life events are influenced both by genetic and planetary effects.

Many systems have developed in Astrology. Yet the fundamentals of Graha tatwa, Rasi tatwa, Bhavá tatwa are common at all times in all systems. Classical writers have given basic principles and suggested to use such principles as per the place, time and changing living conditions. In the process, many systems of Astrology developed, from time to time, in various parts of the globe for a matter of the application of basic principles to local conditions.

ABOUT KP SYSTEM
KP System of astrology is an offshoot of Vedic astrology. The principle of KP System of astrology is based on "Dhruva Nadi" of Satacharya and in a way it is said as Nadi System.

This system is well propounded by late Prof. Krishna Murthy of Chennai (India) in 20th century. It has become popular by his name as "Krishnamurthy Paddathi ". Thus the system is popularly called as "K.P.System". This system was seriously criticized, in earlier days, by many classical astrologers mainly for few reasons viz., that Prof.Krishna Murthy has evolved a short cut method due to his ardent devotion (upasana) to Lord Ganesha. So it cannot be practiced by each and all. Another difficulty was due to laborious calculations involved in manually casting a birth chart in K P System. However, the founder with his visiting lectures at different places in India and in few foreign countries has sown deep rooted seeds.

I feel honored in writing these few words about the book "Stellar Astrology- Practical Application As per K.P. System - with Basics of Vedic Astrology" by Professor C.Sambasiva Rao, Astro Counselor.

Author needs no introduction with his experience in Coaching and counseling in different systems of astrology for more than three decades.

His expertise in K.P. System of astrology is rooted from his two decades of acquaintance, as a student, of his Guru Jyotishya Vidya Bhaskara and K.P.Sidhanta Siromani late Shri.P.V.K Punneswara Rao, Founder of Universal College of Astrology. Hyderabad (India).

In K.P.System, author is also known for his book in Telugu "Nakshatra Jyotishyam - K.P.Paddhati" (2013) as a translated version of the book written by his Guru Shri P.V.K.Punneswara Rao.

The present book is an enlarged version of the book written in English by his Guru. Explanation parts on various parts and the way of chart analysis given in this book is reflecting the way of analysis adopted and developed by this author in decoding the birth charts in K.P.system. Three decades of author's experience in K.P. System is embedded in this book. Thus, the book is expected to be helpful to all practicing astrologers.

Author has chosen in this book to highlight many basic principles of Vedic astrology which are useful in practicing in K.P.system. Author has, in fact, chosen to include the experiences of many practicing astrologers also as seen from the list of bibliography.

Introduction of case study mechanism is highly illustrious. Quoting few real cases at the end of chapters, as a suggestion, for further practice on real case studies is a good guiding factor.
