Prof. Prativa Manjari Rath, Head of the Department of Sanskrit. Utkal University. Vanivihar, Bhubaneswar, Odisha has a distinguished career of teaching in the Post Graduate, M. Phil. and Post Doctoral classes of Sanskrit in Utkal University as well as research activities for more than 30 years. Being deputed by ICCR, Govt. of India, as Visiting Professor of Sanskrit, she also taught Sanskrit to the Post-Graduate students of Shilpakorn University, Bangkok, Thailand for three years from 2008-2011. She has authored two books and contributed around 80 research papers on the themes of Veda. Literary Criticism. Vedic Linguistics, Religion and Indian Culture, Yoga etc. to the Journals of International and National repute. Her interest of research is multidisciplinary though her special interest is in Vedic Studies. She has chaired several sessions in the International and National Seminars and Conferences along with presenting research papers. Nine students have received their Doctorate Degree and more than forty students have prepared their M. Phil Dissertations under her guidance. She has also successfully acted as Course Co-Ordinator of Yogic Programmes of the Utkal University for four academic years.
Dr. Madhusudan Mishra (born 1964), a post-graduate from Utkal University, had his Ph.D from the University of Poona and training in editing from the Vaidika Samshodhana Mandala, Poona. He joined the Odisha Education Service in the year 1992 and has served in different Government Colleges of the state. His administrative acumen is attested from his successful stint as Controller of Examinations, Registrar, Comptroller of Finance and Development Officer of Shri Jagannath Sanskrit Vishvavidyalaya, Puri from 2014- to 2019. At present. Dr. Mishra is the Secretary, State Selection Board, an independent recruitment agency under the Higher Education Department of Government of Odisha. Dr. Mishra has to his credit eight books and sixty research articles on different aspects of Indology. Apart from that, he has also edited several Festschrifts, Commemoration volumes and seminar proceedings. His area of research includes Veda. Vyakarana. Purana and Archaeology.
