We are very glad to bring out the Volume-V of Ramayana" with "Amrta-kataka" commentary containing "Kiskindha-kanda."
No doubt, it was delayed but we are happy as we could bring it out at least now. We hope that we may be able to bring out the remaining volumes of this series (Sundara-kanda, Yuddha-kända and Uttara-kanda) early.
The most important commentaries of the "Ramayana available at present are: (1) Maheswara teerthiya, (2) Govindarajiya, (3) Am?ta-kataka, (4) Tilaka and (5) Siromani. Among them, Amrta- kataka of Madhavayogi is most dependable in our view.
Neither philosophical nor religious prejudices have played their usual roll here as Madhavayogi emphasis only clarifications on literary pints. He is an independent thinker and is understood to be a real "Yogi" in the proper sense of the term. Endowed with realisation of "Tatvanubhava", he has introduced all balanced and non-controversial interpretations of the Text along with its other impli- cations also.
Hence, this commentary is "Tatastha" or impartial of any type of preoccupations.
