I felt it a pleasurable duty when l was instructed by Shri Raja S Rajagopalacharya apta karyadarshi to H.H.Swamiji of Mantralaya Raghavendra Swamy mutt to translate into English the work of Vadindra swamiji The Archagatikrama.
Indeed it is most wanted information to be placed before the public, especially in the wake of other Mutt’s cunning claim of possession and ownership of all the hairlooms, relics and idols inherited from Madhwacharya. Such false claims, even though gulped by the gullibles, cannot entertain the truth-seekers.
Vadindra being the great grandson of the illustration Raghavendra swamiji ruled this pontifical chair as the 5th decendent from Raghavendra. During his resime (1728-l743/ 50), probably similar circumstances existed-which made him to author an official poem depicting the origin and geneology of the idols that are being worshipped in the Mutt without interruption.
It can be seen that the list is not exhaustive since it does not mention the names of Digvijaya rama, Varadaraja, Venugopala Krishna, Ram Tenki coins Hayagreeva etc..Main stress is given only to Moolarama and other idols with special features.
It is hoped that this English rendering will help the reader to know how important is this Moolarama samsthana and why it attracts all the divotees from all sects and places throughout India and abroad. The mystic power of these idols are of the benevolent sage Raghavendra has made this impact on all.
