Shri Radhey Shiam (born on 14-01-1922 in Bareilly Cantonment, UP) is a person of simple living and Gandhian thinking, from a noble lineage of spiritual parents, from whom he inherited love for literature, country's struggle for freedom and social service His way of life is influenced by one Danish Saint-in-India Mr. Alferd Samerson, a friend of the great poet Sri Rabindranath Tagore and Pandit Nehru's family, and to whom one of the great saints of the age, Maharishi Ramana nicknamed as Sunya Bhai. He is a retired Government servant with no air of modernity around him.
He contributes to Hindi and Urdu periodicals. He is amongst the top ten Haikukara of India. Besides Haiku, his favourite metres are Tanka, Sadoka, Senru and Choka.
