"Lalleshwari, the mystic Shivyogini lived in Kashmir more than 700 years ago. She voyaged as a spiritual seeker, got enlightened and merged ultimately into the universal energy - the Shiva tattva. Traversing the path alone, her sojourn as a spiritual warrior, was unique. A staunch practitioner of Hathyoga, Trika and Sahaj, she lived in blissful spiritual Ecstasy and spread the message of Love. Her messages were simple, revived as "Wakhs" in Kashmiri language. These Wakhs are throbbing in the veins of Kashmir even today, loved and adored by both Hindus and Muslims alike. She is into the lives of Kashmiris, like the fragrance of saffron in the cool breeze of Spring.
This book reveals the divinity and spiritual magnanimity hidden in wakhs. These are pearls of Supreme wisdom, unreaveeled in poetic form, woven into the fabric of everyday life and is a rare treatise for sincere seekers. With the blessings and grace of Gurudev, her Wakhs are unveiled and offered in simple English.
"This book will escort those seekers walking on the spiritual path, leading them to their inner Self"
Professionally, a civil engineer and an environmental expert with a doctorate in Harbour - environmental engineering, Dr.Yogeshwari took voluntary retirement from JNPT after a successful career of 25 years, to pursue her interests for a larger cause. Her spiritual sojourn that took roots from her early childhood blossomed further with the blessings of many saints that she was introduced to on the path. With the blessings of Gurudev Sri Sri Ravishankar, her profound revelations of wisdom in this book, is her tribute to the 14th century Kashmiri saint, Sri Lalleshwari.
Named after the deity of her birth-place and brought up in an orthodox family with a spiritual base, Dr. Yogeshwari has been inclined to Spirituality since early childhood, with core humanitarian and spiritual values deeply ingrained in her by her parents Prof Vyankatesh and Kamla Dande. Her living room has always been resonating with philosophical discussions on teachings of Sri Aurobindo, Raman Maharshi, Acharya Vinoba Bhave, Srikrishna, Buddha, Saint Dyaneshwar, Sri Shankaracharya, Jesus and even of Western thinkers like Socrates, Kahlil Gibran and Earnest Hemingway. The book shelves filled with their works, introduced her to the Bible and the Bhagavad Gita at a very early age.
She got her spiritual initiation from Paramhans Shri Tukai at the age of 17 and became a follower of the Nath Samprayadaya. Later she also started unveiling the spiritual meaning of "Ovi", the poems written by Saint Dyaneshwara and that of Amrutanubhay. A dedicated follower of the Art of Living, the blessings of Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar touched her as the rays of the Sun, that brings forth a crowning glory, taking her to the inner seat of her Self , painting her life with the best of colours.
Married into a Kashmiri Pandit family, she took to the study of Kashmir Shaivagam. She seemed familiar with the wakhs of the 14th century mystic Sri Lalleshwari. Her quest to unravel the meaning of her wakhs were invigorated when she met Swami Chetanvilas Teertha, who gave her a book on the Kashmiri saint. She deemed it a signal towards revisiting Sri Lalleshwari. That marked the start of her blissful sojourn, that blossomed later, with Gurudev's blessings.
She says that her experience of writing this book cannot be captured in mere words, as all ways and means are unusual to the mundane world. The Bhavarth - spiritual meaning has been downloaded in a meditative state, by the grace of the divine and the master.
