Gunaratnakara of arasimha Kavi is one of the notable works in Alankara Sastra. It praises the Tanjore Maratha King Serfoji II who ruled Thanjavur from 1798 to 1832 A. D. It 18 an unpublished work and it is now published from the Library manuscript for the first time through the Sanskrit Section, The author of this work Narasiruha was in the Court of King Serforji II. The king encouraged many poets and they produced several works in the field of literature art, architecture, dance, music and drama in many languages.
This work was entrusted to Siromani Thiru N. Srinivasan, Sanskrit Pandit of this Library for editing. He has taken great effort for editing and he has made it a worthy addition to the researchers by his introduction in Sankrit and Tamil, for which he 1 entitled to our deep gratitude.
