"Pada Sahitya" is a part and parcel of "Nritya" particularly in the "Bharata natyam". The Poet, who lived during Maratha Period. Vasudeva Kavi composed "Pada Sahityas" in Tamil and Sanskrit. The Tamil Padas were already published by this Library and the Sanskrit Padas are now coming out in black and white. These Padas will be useful for the performers of Bharatanatyam. I am happy to introduce these Padas, which are edited by this Library Pandit Sri. N. Srinivasan, who has already edited the Tamil padas also, He has a fair knowledge over Tamil and Sanskrit languages and this makes him to work comparatively. Scholars who are doing research on inter-disciplinary subject will be more beneficial of this work. I congratulate him for his efforts. I am to thank the Administrative Officer Thiru, S, Sivagnanam, M. A., and the Publication Manager Thiru. A. Panchanathan, M. A., M. L, I. S., for their sustained efforts bring to out these Padas. I also thank the Printing and Binding Sections of this Library for the neat and meticulous execution of work.
